a 1990 with 305 and a five speed would be less common than most IROC's. but only because of the short production year. Not particularly rare.

TPITerror...
He is right, there are NO records to indicate how many 5 speed, 5.0 IROCs were made. GM does not keep records this way.
A book can tell you how many '90 IROCs were made, or how many cars had 5 speeds, or had 305 TPIs...but nothing can tell you how many 305 5 speed IROCs were made...

I would think that the combination you are asking about would be somewhat rare. 90 was a limited production year, and most 5-speed cars I believe were ordered by dealers as a less expensive option for budget minded consumers, not for performance. So I would think most T5 cars are RSs.

You don't need to know combinations - if you can find out how many 5 speed Irocs were made then you have your figure because in 1990 the only motor you could get with a 5 speed in an Iroc was an LB9.

And since the Iroc is an option (Z28) and the T5 was an option (MM5), if you wanted to know how many Z28's had T5's, THAT WOULD BE AN OPTION COMBINATION. GM DID NOT TRACK COMBINATIONS OF OPTIONS
also, the camaro white book doesn't even list production numbers for the T5 in 1990.
It would be nice if everyone would just go spend $15 on the Camaro White Book rather than to ask how many were made. Most if not all the Camaro numbers in circulation come from the Camaro White Book.

I was recently quoted the figure of 6,000 IROCZs made in 1990. I have aquired a 1990 IROCZ originally equipped with a 5.0 TPI w/5 speed. But it now has a super engine 5.7. The whole deal, you name it it's on the engine. And a reverse shift pattern Turbo 350 trans. Too bad it dropped a vavle on #8 cylinder. But I knew that not too many IROCZ cars were made in 1990. So I went ahead and bought it.
Does the 6,000 # sound right.

We can only tell you how many T5's were installed, not how many installed on each specific model. Last edited by IROCZTWENTYGR8; Mar 21, 2002 at 07:35 PM.
