Cold Air Induction/Stock look.............
The stock 86 Firebird TPI air intake is so screwed up there isn't any good way to work with it, other than to scrap it and go with a later 88-89 style intake ducting. The SLP cold air intake would look close enough to stock that most people would never know its not original.
Here is SLP's site:

Here is a pic of it installed on my car, it looks very close to stock, I just had to relocate my carbon canister......
Mine was part number 21010, your will be part number 21000. SLP uses the factory ducting as you can see on my car so your year application will have the correct ducting for your year as dedcribed on their site. You could also just buy the air canister it's self if you wanted to save some money.

Actually, an 86 TPI intake setup is different then what you're thinking of 92GTA. They use the 85-87 Firebird TPI ducting which uses the canister, with the plastic box cover, with the maf and some ducting to an air silencer, then to the TB... The SLP cold air for 85-87 cars uses the 88-89 ducting from the TB to the air canister, and filters opposite of the stock ducting. If he bought only the canister he'd be screwed since his stock ducting wouldn't work. I'll post some pics to clarify, if I ever find them... Here is an exact link to the cold air setup that would work for your car. http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=21000
