89 firebird Lt1

I work for a plumbing company and we go to this one supply house and the owner has an 89 Firebird that "he says" has a factory original LT1 in it..... and he says only like 250 were made... i can somewhat believe it does anyone know anything about these??

he says it was some kind of prototype and they only made 250 of them, and again he might be full of crap but i was just checking the board to see if anyone has ever heard of them

the LT1 was first introduced in 1970, then discontinued after 1972, i believe

it was re-introduced in 1992, and was in the corvette only. it came in the f-body in 1993.

GM didn't sell any prototypes, and there are no cars similar to the classic copo cars... Unless you consider 1LE's and B4C's but even then they're common knowledge and aren't factory supercars.

The guys either a) a bloomin' idiot b) full of fecal mater or c) a bloomin idiot full of fecal matter.

Get over there and check If anything I'm willing to bet it's an L98 with an LT1 intake or something like that but definantly NOT factory. See what makes it so unbelieveable is that it's an 1989! If it were a 1992 of maybe even a 1991 I say ok, maybe it's a test mule we've never heard of, get the VIN, but in this case we know for a fact that it is not a factory installed F.I. LT1......
