Mystery RPO's

I did the RPO decoder on my car and it didn't work for all of them. I did a search to find more and I am still left with some oddballs. UU8 gave me varring results, it sounds like it's a stereo code, but people don't seem to agree on which one. I also couldn't find any info on these: B3E, 1HV, and 629. On another note, what could be considered a rare amount of RPO's? I have 86 which seems like alot, but mabye that's becasue I just had to scribble them all down.

:hail: Thanks for any info you can provide on my 'roc! :hail:

1HV= components of the IROC-Z package, 629=saddle seat belt color, not sure about B3E though., UU8= am/fm cassette with bose. Chris

Do you have access to a digital Camera? I have an RPO Code B3W and am wondering if the B3E and B3W are rpo's for a "sticker package"

N24: is a 15x7 Aluminum Cast Wheel w/5" Bolt Circle

QYC: Tires, P205/70R14 white letter, steel radial

D1C: Gear, Speedo Driven (This code is missing however it is surrounded by D1A and D1B and D1D which are all Speedo Gears. So if it exists it is safe to say that's what it is)

Your 55 series are color groups. They can vary year to year, model to model, or even plant to plant.

55P: Gold Wheels and in other references Gold Metallic Accent Color

55L: Sandstone/Cream Beige Color Code

59Q: Brown Color Code

As I say the 55 series I would say are "high probability" not definite.

how can i have 14" tires and 15" wheels on same car and since when was 5 on 5 bolt pattenr found on 82-92 cars ? car is cream light tan color, no brown anywhere even on firewall or door jambs
where is the brown supposed ot be at on the car ?

i think some RPO codes are just mixed up with wrong descriptions, it appears. the wheels on it are GM aluminum gold painted finned 14", was such thing installed on 84 firebirds ?
sure is odd, hmmm

thanks

Turbo Finned Aluminum Wheels
All Models: 14x7 Silver/Charcoal or Gold
15x7 Special Performance Package Only
14x7 Firebird w/Handling Package
14x6 Firebird (Charcoal Only)
UPC: N24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The above shows that the same RPO was available as a 14" wheel and you can see it's 5 bolt. This would explain the tires and wheel combo.
I had the cream/brown combo on my 85 Firebird SE. This is not a good pic of it cuz' it wasn't what I was trying to show but you can see a slight glimpse of the brown trim. It is possible your car has had a repaint........... BUT
You are pulling some pretty hard to find codes and as stated in above post some of these change model to model, plant to plant, and year to year so these are just probabilities if not just possibilities.
This is a tough one. I have several sources that show this as:
R8T Control Sales Item 69 Processing Option
and one source that shows:
R8T Preliminary Invoice
So I would suspect that it's paperwork and most likely both of the above descriptions are one in the same.
Mike , yeah that first pic up there you posted, that looksclose to the wheels on the 84, except that the fins are longer and go farther in towards center of the wheel, and even longer in betweent he wheel nuts Il have to hunt around for cars for sale pics and see if I can find any unless maybe someone here has pics of 82-84 or so firebirds with factory finned style mag wheels ?
wanna find or see a pics of the exact oens on this firebird, they are the color of the "ground effects" on it, they and the lower body are like a light brown sugar color
thanks for helping
theyre not damaged as in chipped or anything like that, just need the usual blasting and repainting. i would trade them for a set of standard stock steel 15" wheels for 5 on 4 3/4" pattern, shipping is no biggie, i may have pics i think wont know till a few days i think, have to hunt around
thanks,
