Two 12" Kicker subwoofers in a slant 82-92 sealed box

Selling two 12" Kicker Comp 12s (4 ohm single voice coils, 300 watts peak 150 watts RMS each) with a slant 82-92 camaro sub box. It's the one that slants up from the edge of the T-Top well to the top of the plastic at the back (just above the cargo light in the back).

They sound great, only reason I'm selling them is I'm building a custom box that sits flat instead of slanted and these subs require to much mounting depth for the new box.

One of the subs has a small crack in the plastic trim (see pictures below). I don't have any pictures of it in the car atm, if you need some let me know and I can get them.

Prefer local pickup, this thing isn't light and would be expensive to box up and ship.

Asking $200 OBO.

Re: Two 12" Kicker subwoofers in a slant 82-92 sealed box

I can check into how much it would cost to ship, but it would not be cheap. Based on the size and weight of it. This thing is made out of 3/4" MDF board, probably weighs a good 40 or 45 lbs if not more. The speakers themselves have a shipping weight of 12 lbs each. I think it will barely make it under large package surcharge size (I'm guestimating it at around 110 inches girth and large package is 130 to 165 inches). Based on that just an estimate for ups ground on ups.com going from me (Lexington, SC) to Beverly Hills (so all the way across the country) is 60 dollars. And that isn't count the cost of packaging materials to make sure it's packaged properly, that would another 20 dollars (would probably require a custom box and the ups store doesn't sale those for cheap).

That's all assuming I shipped it with the speakers in the box, an idea that I would not be crazy about. If I took them out and put them in their original boxes (I still have them) and shipped them separately the cost would probably go up due to more actual boxes to ship.

So if you are interested in paying those kind of shipping and handling charges on it, I'll ship it.

Re: Two 12" Kicker subwoofers in a slant 82-92 sealed box

UPS estimates shipping to Jacksonville, NC as 30 dollars. Again that is assuming I've guesstimated the shipping box's dimensions properly and it doesn't get kicked up to a large package surcharge, and also that it was shipped as one package with the sub woofers left in the box. So you'd be looking at around 50ish dollars to ship it to Jacksonville, NC including the 20 for packaging materials.

It's about the same as to Jacksonville, NC, maybe a few dollars cheaper. 50 dollars (that includes the cost of packaging materials), and again that is the cost for shipping it with the woofers in the box.

Re: Two 12" Kicker subwoofers in a slant 82-92 sealed box

whats the dimensions of this box? ex: width height thickness etc... and would you be interested in just selling the kickers? so much easier to ship those without box. i have a box i built just looking for good set of subs. what are those kickers like?

I don't have the exact dimensions with me atm, might be tomorrow before I can get them but wanted to go ahead and reply to you. If I had to guess I'd say the top is around 15" in length, the bottom around 12" in length. About 10" tall, and around 40" wide.

I'm not really interested in selling the subs without the box unless I had someone wanting to buy the box only already as well.

As for what the kickers are like, I like them. They aren't the strongest bass out there (only 300 watts peak 150 Watts RMS) but they have a good sound. It's hard to describe what they sound like though lol... if you are just looking to add a little bit of bass to balance out the sound in your car these will do that job and then a little more. If you are looking for something that is going to vibrate the person 2 cars over from you at a red light, then you are going to need something more powerful.

Bump, still for sale, still prefer local pickup since obviously no one wants to pay the shipping charges.
