Finished installing my kit last night and mine was a challenge as well. Unfortunately I had to undo some of the flex loom and rearrange some of the wiring to get it to fit. Relay bank is tucked in tight to the right of the shifter and the two modules are mounted behind the lower panel on the passenger side of the dash but it all fits and works great. My window speed down and up is reduced to just over 4 seconds. I'm hoping it will pick up even more when I make my new door panels soon and can get in there to lube the window mechanisms. Almost makes me wish I'd gotten the express up feature as well. A great product and well worth the cost, many thanks again.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics of your install would you? I'm having issues getting it all inside the console. Its proving to be more challenging than I thought it would be.

Splicing/cutting/connecting the switches, whatever you want to call it. That's what I meant. I haven't tapped into the wiring at all and don't want to until I know I can get all of the harness to fit in the console.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I had already removed the console to address a problem with the parking brake so it made the install easier. I laid the harness in place and made the connections to confirm proper operation and then made the adjustments where necessary. My mods were the removal of the flex loom on the leads that run to the two black modules and cutting the zipties so I could shift the wiring around as needed. I also shortened the ground lead by a few inches also. The relay bank and the circuit breaker tucked in right beside/beneath the park neutral switch on the shifter. The modules were double side taped to the bottom of the air box.
It can be a little time consuming routing everything to fit-I would suggest pulling the top console trim off and lay it out near the seat and test everything prior to doing a final install-thats why I provide enough length so you can troubleshoot if needed.
For future harness builds would it be easier to extend the harness/module leads further so they can be mounted under/behind the ashtray area of the console?
I had no problem fitting what I got,I used a heat gun to soften up the harness,That made the wires a little more flexible.I don't know if they are the same as mine.
Im really interested in this. Im working on a new set of doors to throw in mine and God the windows were slow in these things (doors I'm replacing).
So your kits are plug and play now, and are $80 shipped for the express down only? Can you extend the wires so I can tuck at the huge relays and stuff under the radio console vs the shifter area? I don't run a radio or HVAC controls but my shifter is filled with my rachet shifter and some other stuff. Shoot me a PM about pricing and such.
Your early design with two separate relay banks looks like it may be easier to squeeze into tighter areas though it didn't include the express modules. Maybe a combo like that could be a future option cost permitting?
Ok....I'll mock up a set with two separate relay banks and see how that works. I have an extra 3rd gen console to test fit it with. I think I'll revise it to extend the modules under the radio pod too.

Wow. formula1LE, that's a nice job on the assembly.
Thanks for the compliment! Its a pretty popular upgrade across a range of GM vehicles. I've just finished designing kits for the 70-81 fbody guys and about to release a set for the 67-69 guys too.
I got most of the wiring and stuff placed inside the console tonight. Still have a bit to do tomorrow, mainly just connecting all the wires. Will be making a phone call tomorrow to get some guidance before I finish it all up. A little more challenging fitting all the stuff in there than I thought it would be, but overall not super hard. Its a quality kit, that's for sure.
I've got my latest batch of express down window harnesses ready to ship out-as you can see, the function of the harness is unchanged but I've tried to make it a little more compact so it will fit easier under your console shift plate. Again, these harnesses give you relay powered windows with the express down feature for both sides and this is 100% plug and play with no cutting or splicing of wires required by you. This is a sweet upgrade for custom builds or low mileage original cars where you can add this feature and easily go back to all stock wiring without any cutting of your wiring!
Last batch of express down/up kits are sold! I'm working on one now for a customer is Switzerland so I'm ramping up for another batch of 6 kits-if anybody is still interested lemme know!
[QUOTE=formula1LE;5895642]Well, I have other vehicle applications for adding options like courtesy/radio delay off, headlight delay off, etc. So I am coming out with a 3rd gen kit for headlight delay off and its time-adjustable too....and the same principle can be applied to integrate IGN off radio/interior courtesy delay also with the opening of the door being the circuit disconnect. Its very similar to newer GM vehicles but with a completely independent harness.
I may have interest in the courtesy radio delay. Is this something you have currently?
I can put together a radio delay off kit for you. It provides up to 15 minutes of delay off-it integrates with your stereo power feed and courtesy lighting. So with IGN off, radio can be delayed off for up to 15 minutes and is shut off if you open the door triggering the courtesy kill circuit aspect of it. PM for details/questions!
Just to keep the options on the window kits updated, here is a kit for member swisscheese ready to go! This kit has the express down AND up integrated into it as well as converting to a relay trigger. A fairly involved kit wiring/wise but super easy to install. There is a chassis ground, (2) leads for power, (4) leads to your window motor wiring and (6) leads to your window switch connectors-and 56-series connectors so it is all 100% plug n play still! Best of all, you can go back to stock as easy as it was to add this feature if you ever want/need to!
It went out yesterday as International First Class. You should see it in 7-10 days. If you have a lot of local interest in them I could setup a group purchase for you guys....I know the import/tax fees are ridiculous over there!
I had a member send me a video of his express down/up power window setup. Speed looked pretty good on it! I think the most difficult thing you'll run into is fitting all 4 modules under your console. However, for the cool benefit of having the auto down and up feature, you'll find it worth the effort! I love having express up and down in every older vehicle I own!

Hey formula1le, I sent my money the other day to ur paypal for the express down kit extended to put all the relays under the radio pod. I got an email back from someone about an address, I emailed the address but haven't heard back. Also you didn't respond to my PM. What's the status? Do you have all my shipping info?
Yeah my wife is linked to my account, phone and emails so she keeps me up to date on orders. Your PayPal info does not have a shipping addy. If you want, just PM me your ship-to info and we're all set! Thanks!

You can post them if you want
My windows (car running) total time down and up was 10 sec
After the express up/down/relays total time was 8 sec
Dude... I spent so much time trying to make this happen back in the day.. I scoured the junk yard for some auto-down switches from the Saturn SC coupes... Please do not stop making these anytime soon. WANT ! ( auto up and down)
Lol.....I make these kits for quite a few GM applications-I have (for now at least...) plenty of parts on hand to build these kits for some time. I'll PM ya on a kit.
Fechin-you are more than welcome to post your install! Once people realize how incredibly simple my kits are to install, hopefully more will not see it as an electrical challenge. I've taken all the difficult parts out so all that is left is a couple plug-n-play connectors and a ground connection and it's done!
Yesterday I just installed the express down kit and it works pretty good. Wiring was easy and putting it all together was the simplest it could be without suppling the window plugs so its truly plug and play. With these kits you need to remove all the terminals in the stock window plugs and insert them into his supplied plug. then put his terminals into the OEM window plugs. Its not difficult but thats the most complicated it gets.
Running the huge bank of relays and solid state express relays is another obstical. I don't have a radio in my radio pod so I got his extended kit to put it all in there and keep my center console clear and clean. It really filled that empty space up!
All in all I'm happy with it and its a quality kit, nice job Formula 1LE.
Now I wish I had knew about his extra relay for the rear hatch button.
The rear hatch addition was a specific request of which I was able to oblige. Due to the components required to make the kit function as it does, the 2 modules needed for express down and 4 required if you want express down/up, real estate in the console can be challenging-but for the most part its all worth it when you "flip the window switch" once to test it all out! The most complicated kit I've done is a customer with a custom 86 Suburban with 5 power windows-he wanted to have all 5 equipped with express down/up as well as a master override switch so he could trigger all 5 windows to express down/up simultaneously....and be able to use his remote fob to trigger this action.
Pretty cool to be able to hit 1 keyfob button and automatically have the truck start, roll all 5 windows up and have the AC on too. He was running a TBI 350 setup so I integrated a few other things in too.

Lol...hey I have fun building these kits for fellow enthusiasts-I use my own harnesses on all of my own stuff as well....I always look for ways to integrate some kind of late model feature into a project of mine.
Finally installed the harness. Wow! Super-easy install. Absolutely zero cutting/splicing/or anything close to it. If you are timid about dealing with wires as many people are then this is your kit. One of the easiest installations I've done on my car. Hard to express how pleased I am with the quality of the product itself and of the quality of customer support received.
