You may also want to check out the junk yards, as quite a few VWs got Recaros too. BMWs too.
When living in Los Angeles, I helped 3 friends get them for their cars, out of VWs.

Junk yards around here don't have much and they want rediculous prices for, well, junk...
There is only one junk yard here that lets you pull your own stuff but I don't get there alot, so I have to resort to here or ebay.
