Head Light Switch Retainer???

All im looking for is the little black piece that holds the switch inthe dash, either that or a whole new switch, but evenifyoubuy it from advanced you need the black piece if anyone has this let me know

are you refering to the plastic "screw"?...I have a switch complete with it

I broke mine off too. Unless you care about it being 100% original (and its not like you can see it anyway) just get a 1/2 threaded brass fitting, put a washer on it and it will work just like the plastic nut (except it wont break!) I did have to run a next bigger drill bit down it to open it up so the rod could pass through...but that took 30sec and total cost of it was less than $1.

Thanks all I like that brass idea, I think ill run with that if i cant find what i need ill order one from the house of camaro

You can get the fitting at Lowes or Autozone.

Hey man thanks again, I went and got it yesterday though its a 1/8" fitting not 1/2". But no big deal just one more trip to the Hardware store. Thanks again now they are back where

dont know if my switch is reamed out but the 1/8 pipe didnt really thread are you sure its an 1/8 inch npt? thanks
