Im looking for a good working tachometer from an L69 that reads 8,000 rpm. Im not sure on exact years but I believe its only an 83 or 84. If you have what I need please give me a price shipped to 49202, I can pay by paypal Instant payment.

I have one that came out of an 83. I don't know if it works or not. I was going to send it to Auto Instruments and get it checked out and replace my LG-4 set up. This cluster has the white numbers and background so you know it is an 83. The 84 had the red background lighting. I would like a 150.00 out of it. PM me if interested. Thanks.

 

isn't 150.00 just a little bit high for a cluster? or is that the whole dash?

 

come on man, you need to be realistic. Why would I pay $150 for your cluster which your not even sure works. Im assumming your wanting to sell the complete cluster, if your talking just the tach then your out in space and orbiting the planet Uranus.

I can pull my own tach out and send it in to be refaced and recalibrated to 8K for about that and KNOW that it works AND is accurate. I understand that suckers are born everyday, but Im not one of them.

If anyone ELSE has what I need and is firmly planted on the lithosphere, please let me know. If nothing comes about by February, I'm just gonna have my tach redone.

You had better jump on it if you got that good of a deal. I figure less than a 1,000 of those 83 tachs like that were made in 83 or whatever was L-69 production in the T/A, unless the factory made extras. You can get it refaced by Auto Instruments. I have a power bulge hood I am asking 100.00 for that has all the hardware and aircleaner to go with it but they only made tens of thousands of that hood so it is not worth a 500.00 or more like an aluminum hood.

I will be sending a 69 Chevelle guage cluster there but won't be needing a reface but recalibration and just the redline changed. That whole cluster will cost me about $500.00 to get rebuilt not counting a reface that it don't need. It has a temp, oil, amp, fuel and tach in the center. I can buy a reproduction one that looks close for only $250.00 but just want an original one.

I no longer need the tach, I just bought one and it works perfect and was only about $45 shipped.
