I have one out of a 92 Firebird. 5 spd car, cruise, tilt. Very tight comlumn. None of the typical GM column play.

 

Mine is an automatic, not sure if the 5 spd will work. Any comments.... If it will work I would be interested.

I have one from a 91 TA. You need 1 from a 89-92 firebird if you want it to be correct. Camaro columns are different.

 

5 speed columns are the same as automatic except the ign. cylinder. 5 speed columns have a push button to unlock the column/key.

89-92 had vats. 90-92 had airbags also. Do you want a airbag or non-airbag column?

 

So I need a 90-92 Firebird airbag and vats column. My current column had airbag and vats.... Is also an automatic. Sounds like thats the only kind that will work. Thanks for the input.

 

I have a nice column from a 91 TA. The letters and the turn lever are nice, removed correctly with key and vats box. You won't need the vats box if you have a working vats key for car now. $20 a locksmith will make you a working vats key without changing the ign. cylinder.
