i think i can use a firebird or camaro column? im pretty sure they are both identical. correct me if im wrong. and i think i can use manual or auto?

You can interchange them but the turn,cruise lever are different. They are also different from year to year.

M/T and A/T columns are different also.

89 columns have the VATS ignition switch. 90-92 have VATS and the airbags.

89 columns could be used by not connecting the wires from the ignition switch or changing the ignition switch.

 

yes, vats and air bag but for like 85-88 sould be the same if i get the same options as i have?

the connectors are the same with maybe different color wireing maybe?

FedEX ground is $41 with insurance. It doesn't give me a time but it seems to take about 5 days to get from East coast to West coast.

I didn't clean it so it just dusty. The key is in the on position in the close up pic. Nothing is broke or damaged.

That is the neutral safety switch cable that runs under the carpet to the shifter. I just remove the column that way. You can use your cord or use this one, its your choice.
