Re: Looking for cluster

FYI. You'll need something from an 86-89 cable-driven speedo.

Re: Looking for cluster

I could have got a cable driven speedo from the junkyard for really cheap. I knew it worked too because I was there when the guy working at the junkyard started the motor to see if it worked. Anyway, I tried taking it out but I couldn't undo the cable... I came back two days latter with some wire cutters and found it in pieces. Some idiot must of tried pulling so hard that the whole thing broke into at least 5 pieces. Man that pissed me off. Sorry, but I had to vent.

I got one I'm getting ready to pull out of mine. I just bought aftermarket gauges to put in.

The speedo cable is just held on with a small retaining clip, you push it down and the speedo cable comes out, I have seen alot of clusters destroyed at the wrecking yards, I hate it when people trash parts because they don't know how to take the part off or they don't bring the correct tools to do the job, I see alot of center consoles ruined by people trying to get the power window switches out
