power seat wire harness

I'm looking for the wire harness that runs from the fuse box to the drivers seat.

I understand that there are a few different types. the one I need doesn't tie into the passenger seat and the plug on the seat has two connections one ground and one hot.

also if anyone knows what size fuse I'll need that would be cool if you could let me know

Re: power seat wire harness

it isn't really a harness - its two wires - orange and black. the black goes into the ground - use the one that is on the center console.
the orange i ran from the seat to the 30 amp fuse off the fuse box. i split the wire, made a 3 wire connector and it works fine. i put in 2004 ta leather seats in and use the factory harness to connect to two front seats.

your kidding! i looked all over to see if there was a plug in harness to the one on the factory one that connects to the two power seats and i found nothing at all. even went to gm and they said no and that the plug was proprietary and not available even in electronics stores. just made my own and a connector and pulgged into the fuse box where the manual said the seats plug into. but if i had known you had them i would have bought yours.

Re: power seat wire harness

After taking a few GTAs apart I found out following:
Only in early 1987 the inflatable lumbar harness was a plug in harness. Starting in very late 1987 and 1988/89 the harness was part of the interior harness, can't tell about 90-92 GTA/TA but I guess that didn't change.
There's also a fuse panel under the dash (somewhere inbetween the radio and the steering column) with fuses only for the seats and the remote steering wheel/radio... None of my 1987s had that fuse panel there.

Good luck...

Ok, I screwed that one up - I just figured you're talking about Camaro seats, so disregard my last post...
