Re: 1991 Firebird T5 Shift Plate & Prom AXXD
I have a shifter plate from a 91 bird. I can track it down and take pictures if you are still needing one. $75+ shipping.

I have a 730 ecm if your looking for that, whats wrong with your old memcal? If it was a automatic bcc axxb or something it will work fine.

Re: 1991 Firebird T5 Shift Plate & Prom AXXD
I'm looking for parts needed to complete my 5 speed conversion.
Looking at the charts on this website, it appears the chip from the factory was code AXXD. That's what will match up with what I have after the conversion.
I've read on here about people having idle problems or the car wanting to die when the clutch is pressed when they use automatic chip on a 5 speed.
Just want to start looking now, cause I know it can take a while to find these parts. Hoping to change the chip so I don't have to worry about potential issues.
Thanks,
Shawn

that would be cause if the wrong vss was used or was left disconnected. you can always use a piggyback adapter like moates.net g1 and install a burned copy of the axxd. the ecm will still need the 4k ppm vss signal.
