Remote hatch release solenoid / relay assembly
Looking for a remote hatch release assembly so I can wire up my new trunk release button to do its job.
Anyone got a working assembly? Would need to fit an 88 Firebird.

Re: Remote hatch release solenoid / relay assembly
I have the whole trunk release setup from my 88 firebird, all is working perfectly and I had rebuilt the pull down motor. Let me know exactly which parts from the system you need.

It's funny dude, it is. Time has moved on I guess, those things used to be REAL cheap 'back in the day' ( AKA: last week )
88BlackFormula: The 82-85 "release" solenoid pictured above is not compatible with the PPD version of the release" solenoid. Your replacement solenoid should come from an 86-91 1/2.
P.S. I'm no professional, an amateur at best. A profesional would maybe know that what he's selling has NO CHANCE of fitting properly.
