Roof console help ?
I'm installing a roof console that is a t-top type and I went to the tech page and found the instructions on how to do it Great but still have ? the two holes for the mounting screws that are 2.5 in. long and 1.5in. wide how far over do I have to put them from side to side??the print does not tell you how far over from end to end

there should allready be holes for them on the car. my 1988GTA had the holes allready there, and roof consoles were not available after 87. stands to reason that all cars should have them.

X is correct, however. The holes should already be in place. I assume you're putting a t-top console in a t-top car.
Oh, I see. You're cutting the headliner. Put the console rightside up on a piece of cardboard and make a template: mark all the holes to include the ones in the dome light. Mock the template up using the screw holes in the dome light. Once that's done, you'll have a precise idea of where to cut (and cut little by little). With holes cut in the headliner, the mounting holes will be apparent. Worked for me.
