Installed my Recaro seats
Well it took me a while to get these seats finally in....probably about 3 weekends or so...not full weekends....just when I was able to secure a good chunk of time to dedicate to them. Between design, measurements, re-measurements, test fittings, fabrication...it was a decent job to adapt my stock seat brackets to these seats, but all in all I am extremely proud of them and they mean even more to me because I did all the work myself....I'm somewhat of a perfectionist....and wanted these installed dead on....as close to the console as possible with no rubbing anything....I also didn't want to lose the functionality of my power drivers seat....that's a HUGE plus for me to keep it 8 way adjustable.
Anyways, pretty much the only materials I used were some flat steel, angle iron, and some grade 8 nuts/bolts. While designing and fabbing up I ended up buying my own MIG welder (miller 135) and learning how to weld with some quick lessons and inspiration from Slow89Iroc-Z (thanks again man!). I still need LOTS of practice to get the hang of it and to produce some nice welds.
Here are some pics:

Thanks guys!
I forgot to mention in my post they are the Recaro Speed seats in black vinyl/saturn naps. It took me over a year or so to decide on these seats, and I've been searching around for a decent price on them too for a long time...I wasn't planning on getting them for a while, but I found them from a Porsche speed shop online who ordered them for a customer who didn't follow through with them...so they were supposedly selling them at dealer cost $675 a piece or so. But that was the best deal I've been able to find...and I've looked and called everywhere. All the sites online that list them for cheaper haven't updated their websites in years and still have them listed at old outdated rices.
The only thing that sucks is shipping them......figure between $1500-$1700 for the pair shipped to your door depending where you buy them at. They're not as expensive as the Recaro Sport seats though and I like the looks of these better personally.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take any pics while I was working on it, only after I bolted them in.
With these seats in particular, the mounting holes on the seat bottoms are out on the sides of the seats (wider than where the original brackets mount), so I had to make brackets to bolt to the side holes on the seats and also bolt to the brackets that are inward....but the brackets don't sit directly in the center of the seat, they are offset to one side.

Actually I've removed the back seats al together....you can see the seat bottom on the drivers side in the pic, but it's not bolted down, I just placed it in there loosely to hold some bolts and stuff while I was working in there. The back seats are useless...I never had anyone sit in the back....no one can fit behind the drivers seat. I still need to figure out what I want to do back there.

Nice job on your seats...congrats
I just started looking at them. I new Recaro's were expensive, but I didn't know you had to fab the mounts.
Its looking more like Corbeau's for me.
Again...

Thanks!
Recaro does indeed sell seat brackets, but I didn't want to spend another $100+ per seat bracket and lose my power seat on the drivers side, that's why I adapted my original brackets to work with these seats.
