interior steering colum
interior steering colum
the inside steering colum broke on a panic stop when someone cut me off what can i do to repair this now the wheel still works and turn signals but the high beams making a popping noise when its pulled back but the whole colum moves around when i am driving making difficult
tight enough to hold it still if nothing is touching it but if i go to turn the whole colum moves in the direction that i am turning because of the pressure on the wheel

ok for the high beem thing there is a switch under the colom d-side if the rod poped out of it, it could be getting hung up on something. if it is still in tack it could be a bad switch of a wireing thing. Now for the collom thing it sounds like the bolts under the presser plate are loose, What you are going to need to do to fix this is get a steering wheel puller and a ring plate or o-ring deperser. IF you have a autozone or parts place like that you can rent these for free. after pulling that off you will see the bolts that are loose. IF there is cracked of broking metal in the you might need a new collom if so my friend is selling one. I hope this will help you.
