Bone yards, board sponsors, classifieds on this site, perhaps GM itself.

The one that you describe as "baseball" in appearance is for a 86-92 Camaro with a 5 speed manual trans part# W826
For 86 auto trans leather ****.....part# W831
For 87-99 auto trans leather ****.....part# W832
If you want the cheaper "non-leather" 84-86...part# W829
non leather 87-89...........part# W833
If you go to the site, look in the "Next Generation" catalog, if the part isn't found, then it's no longer available.

The "Baseball" was for a automatic and a standard. The only difference is one has a button on the top to lock and unlock the transmission in park. Most places have only the aftermarket one like Yearone, but only in a standard. Yearone does not even carry the automatic **** anymore. even though they have a part number listed. I have tried wrecking yards in 4 states on the west coast. The only ones they have are in worse shape than the one I already have. The dealership cannot even find this part. So I am in search of classifieds and good ol luck. Member

Since my car is a '87.......I can use any shift **** from a '87 to '99 camaro? I see a lot of people advertising their ***** on e-bay, saying they fit '82-'02 camaros? -Nick.

I bought the (87 to 99) leather one for my Camaro a few years ago from Year One, the original one that was on the car was black leather, the Year One is a very dark gray.

You can use a vast array of 80's - 90's GM shift ***** on your Camaro, the shafts and lock pins are pretty universal. I have a late model Grand Prix cobra head style **** in one IROC and an Olds Cutlass T- handle in the other. Both slipped right on and locked in. (Don't have any pics right now, but you can search for "****" and see some of the cool idea's folks have come up with.)
