Steering Column
I have a busted steering column and was wondering where I could purchase a new one with key? Also on a scale of 1-5 (1 being easy) how hard is it to put a new steering column in?

Honestly I would say maybe a 1 or 2.There are only 6 bolts and a bunch of plugs. What year car do you need it for?I have one for an 82 -88.Definatley something you can do yourself. No special tools needed, unless you have to pull the steering wheel off to swap it.

Why would I need a swap? Or do you just mean get one and swap it in, because I am one of those guys who doesnt rely on used parts.....I LOVE buying new, because I know for sure its fine, and if not guess what I take it back. Lol. Just trying to find somewhere I can get a new one or something.

The term "new" and "parts" are still getting to know eachother. It might be a while before we start seeing restoration products. I doubt GM still makes these.

honestly i doubt you will find a new one, i got one off ebay that works like its new. one from a junkyard isnt a bad choice in this sence. its a column... not gonna take too much abuse. just make sure you have the key to go along with the new column
