Cool Dash Stuff For CHEAP
Ok, I have an 86 Camaro, Not really in the best of shape... but it's getting paint soon.. and the inside well.. i'd say its really dim for night driving.. anyone have good ideas for lighting.. or any other cool stuff to put in there?
I always liked it dim while i was driving at night, but hey if you want it brighter go right ahead. Do you have an aftermarket cd player? I know mine was bright as all hell. Im pretty sure some can be dimmed or brightened too. Aside from that, i dont know of much else.

Little light under dash above heater controls??????
Hey, i was wondering if anyone else had a little light that glows but doesn't really light up anything on the bottom side of the dashboard behind the vents above the heater controls, you'll really have to look for it. I don't ever remember ever seeing one on any other camaro, mine is an interceptor so i don't know if it's only specific to my model type or not????

Would Blue 4 point ones Work good?
And also, anyone know where to get good overlay kits (85 mph) for cheaper then 65 bucks?

I lined the sides of the gauge pod in my '83 with aluminum roofing seam tape.I still have the 194 bulbs(only change was to the LL - longlife)and this simple mod has doubled lighting for the gauges.I did the same for the shifter quadrant, console clock and the HVAC controls.Along with all new bulbs in the faceplate for the radio.

I installed two neon tubes under my dash and had them shine down onto the floor. I used blue tubes and I gotta tell ya it looked pretty sweet. I had a friend of mine who hooked up a dimmer **** that we installed in the glove box in the console. I know I know I very early 90's thing to do but this was 1995 when I was a senior in h.s. Other than that.....only other thing I can think of is maybe get the white face guage covers from ebay with the lighting kit and see if that helps. I just bought them so ill let ya know how they come out when I install them this week.

when i got mine it came with a digital aftermarket dash. it was in a box the guy i got the car from was a pot head and couldnt handle the lights flickering so he took it out.
I installed it after i got it and i love the way it looks.
