my windshield wipers werent working so i put a fuse in the box. when i turned on the switch, they worked, but they wont shut off now.... whats wrong?

 

Does it shut off when the ignition key is turned off?

It could be wiring, the circuit board inside of the wiper motor assembly, or the wiper switch.

I tried looking/searching for a few wiper motor schematics on this site. All the electronics were inside of the wiper motor (from those schematics), a relay inside of the wiper motor assembly could be bad and causing something to be stuck on. Anyways, if the circuit board is bad, probably should just get a whole used wiper motor from an 83.
