Emergency Brake Boot?
Hey guys,
I've removed the console in my '89 and replaced the carpet with non-console type and the shifter with a Hurst that had its own mini console. Have any of you done this and found a boot that fits our e-brake handle? The lever is larger than most and I'm afraid to order a universal one that may not fit.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Boo.

Got my carpet from auto-interior.com $232.00 with shipping for front and rear. Very good quality...I highly recommend. The carpet looked so good that it made all my plastic trim look like poop....so now I am re-dying the plastic to match the carpet's quality.

I haven't posted pics in a while. I will take some pics and post if I can figure out how.

I bought a shift boot and e-brake boot from juju racing (juju-racing.com, ju-juracing? Something like that). Anyway, they are decent quality, they look good but its not leather or anything high quality. If you use the brake alot it can be a pain becuase it gets wrinkled and such. That said, I'd certainly purchase one from them again.

Thanks firebirdjosh. Good info. My concern is that the brake handle shaft on our cars is pretty big, so I wasn't sure about the fit of an aftermarket boot. I probably wont use the brake much, it just doesn't look good w/o a console.
Thanks,
Boo.

I can get a better shot if you want. The radio, A/C, and heater controls are all gone. As you can see, I just installed a set of three mini gauges in place of the controls. I really don't remember what it looked like when it was stock....it's been so long.
