Rear privacy shade

Cann somebofy that has one of these privacy shades that roll out in the back of the hatch area tell me how it attaches once its rolled out? I have mine installed, it did not come with it originally, i have an 87 firebird, I bought the round pieces that the roill attaches to that i had to cut the plastic out on the rear panels, but when i roll it out to extend it, I cannot figure out where it would attach to stay out, understand? Hope i explained it right. I think it goes near the rear hatch motor that closes the hatch tight automatically but i dont see any telltale outlines of where something would go , help!!!!!

The shade is supposed to go up with the hatch when you open it.
The plastic panel under the hatch glass had two holes/notches for the two things sticking out of the shade handle to go into. They were in the middle on the edge of the plastic nearest to the glass.

My car originally came with the privacy shade but it doesnt have one now. It has those two holes for the shade to attach to.

I have that panel in black if you need one, it has a metal piece under it that holds the cover.

Have 1 in grey in the shed that i used as template to cut the holes in my red one.I'll get pix and of the metal piece. There is also a set of metal mounts that go to the boy under the panels where the blk pieces mount to to hold the roller section in place.Hope ya got them.I didn't and it all came loose goin down the road.Scared the hell outta me when it all rolled up to the window like that.I went back and cut them out then (for now)screwed em in place.DSoon as i find the old pop riviter gonna rivit em down.

Yea has the outline.Sorry but wifes dryer blew up the other morning so spent the weekend trackin down another and doin that install.Anyways plan ta get pic up in the am .The reason plan ta pic it is because like red theres about 30 different shades of grey. This isn't a light grey more of a med grey.Anyways will pic it just the same.Still have to figure out weight and shipping. But be happy ta just get it out the way b4 it gets ruined. Also have a switch contact with the grey piece for the lower section if ya need it.

I put a cargo shade in my camaro a few years back and I just carefully cut two small "T" shape holes in the plastic piece on the bottom of the hatch, under the spoiler. I didn't realize I needed that piece when I bought it, but I had to cover up all my amps. Personally, I would use the correct part,(just haven't yet) but I'm sure you can easily make it work if you have to.

Shoot since I have a spare of the metal piece maybe I can measure it out do some kind of dimensional type thing and get it into the forum for future referance like the dimensions of the sub well box for the hatch area.
