New seats question

Ive got an 87 trans am and the interior is a little rough and i was lookin around for a new set of seats. Does anybody know if the 4th gen seats will fit in the 3rd gens? And if they do are they easy to install?

The are supposed to be a direct bolt-in installation. I got a set of 4th gen leather seats from ebay, and will be installing them when the weather warms up in a month or two.

Yes, as mj points out; however, apparently there's a bit of a gap in the rear seats. A search will give more info (the subject has been covered many times).

I have ebony leather seats in my 89 IROC that came out of a 2002 TransAm and they bolted up perfectly, couldn’t have fit better if they were meant for my car. BTW the back seats fit just fine also.

Here's a link on fitment for front and rear 4th gen seats (I'm sure there are many others on site for more info):
