Heh, that's exactly what I'm going to do... a previous owner sprayed all the plastic and carpet and seats black... I'm replacing it with black 4th gen leather seats and I'm going to get new grey carpet and grey door panels. I'm undecided on touching up/redoing the plastic in black correctly or trying to return it to grey.
I think it will look great though. I've got the rear seats so far, and it completely woke up the interior... can't wait to get some new carpet in there.

alright, I got a couple pics today... these are in progress shots btw, all the wiring will be straightened and hidden eventually
I did an alternator and Amp/speaker install today.

You'll notice ripped carpet on the driveshaft tunnel, that's where the center bar was, it was spot welded in 4 places, a little convincing with a 2 lb sledge and a crowbar took it right out, it will need a little plug welding or similar once I pull the carpet. Wasn't too much damage to the tunnel though.

They dont. Maybe thats just me though. I got black 4th gen leather seats and had them in for year before I switched out the carpet and everything else from grey to black. Looked like crap to me, and I regretted it everytime I drove the car. Maybe that would have been different if my grey carpet/panels were in decent shape, but who knows.

I don't have a pic, but I've seen it. Looks really good. Look up Stevo and check his VBGarage, I think he has a pic there
Re: black seats in grey carpet interior!!!!
I have done it. Looks good. The pictures aren't perfect to illustrate, but should give a decent idea.
