ummm did digital dashs come in trans ams or was it a feature exclusive to the GTA?

and if someone was to have swapped in a digital dash there would be spliced wires right?

 

Guess it depends on how good of an installer they were. They could have used the entire Digital harness. But dk why they would want to install dig gauges cause they are notorious for being a pain (just like the vette's) and malfunctioning. Is that what you have, dig gauges?

 

yep, ok explain something to me, my car is sputtering out everynow and then when i stop, and my tach is jumped about 1500rpms up, i just changed plug wires and cap, whats going on?

 

Hmmm, dk that one sorry. There is a lot in the search regarding that, "rough idle". More than likely a fuel problem like injectors or something along those lines.

 

o well thanks for the info, i guess my car really is a gta. its got the badges and everything that shows its a gta but there was two sets of rpo codes in it when i got it, one from an 89 bird and the other an 88 gta. the vin goes back as a Trans Am/ GTA though. thanks.

 

Sorry,but they were available in the TA also.

 

Well I'll be damned! Thought for sure that was a GTA option only cause you could still get GTA's w/anolog gauges as well.
