Re: How to tighten?
I had the same prob. Got new hangers (very stiff) and they still were loose, as if the visor itself would not squeeze enough to the hanger (make sense?). So I just tightened the hell out of them!!! I mean TIGHT! As much as you can. I used a power drill and now they are very tight....so tight you can hardly move them. Give it a try, hope it helps

So you're saying tighten them to the roof of the car until they won't trun as much? Does that affect the bar that the visor slides onto? is there a way to take the thing apart and wrap the bar with tape or something to make it tighter?

Re: How to tighten?
My sun visor had 4 screws on them- 3 holding it to the roof then 1 on the visor itself. The 1 lone screw holds it tight and keeps the visor from falling- just tighten that as much as you can.

Re: How to tighten?
I took the whole visor assembly off and put some JB weld between the "metal bar" and hanger sleeve, so that the "metal bar" wouldn't turn any more. Put the visor back on and tightened it up ,not to tight and its still functional and doesnt come down and bug me anymore. I did this about a year ago. What really made this easy is that the meatl slide came completely out with no effort. Just curiously played with it and it came out making it easy to put the JB weld in and slid the "metal slide" in. Just remember to let the JB weld dry if you decide to do this before putting it back in use.

I was going to attempt that, but came across another set. Still the visors were falling down, so I had no choice but to tighten them as hard as I could so that they would not bug me. Seems the plastic sleeve inside the visor is giving way due to its age.

Re: How to tighten?
Remove the one screw in the visor that holds it to the shaft, and take the visor down. With a pair of vice grips or big pliers, carefully squeeze the area that the shaft slides into. It would probably be smart to wrap the piece in a towel first so you don't dig into the material with the pliers. Give that whole area a bit of a squeeze, but do it a little at a time and re-fit it to test. Keep doing it until it's as snug as you want it.
