Pictures of my new front Seats! (Back seats coming on a weekend soon!)

Hey guys, got my new 4th gen seats in my firebird and wanted to share some of the pics with ya! Sorry for the bad shadows, I forgot to take the sun visor out of the front window. LOL! The rear seats aren't in yet and since I don't have the full harness (And the wires were already hacked), I rigged up power to the driver. I'm hoping in the next week or so to get the power lumbar on both seats working and to get the rear seats in. Depending on how the rear fits though (I hear they leave some gaps), I might just leave my originals in and re-cover them in the future. Anyway enough of my babbling! HERE's the pics!

First one is of the original seats. Not bad, but not what this guy wanted.
Then there should be a pick of the original rear seats followed by some pictures of...my new seats! lol

Ok, so I had to put the NEW seats in the next post... lol Anyway, I think they look sweet and the ride is better. It's taking a bit of getting used to now that I sit about 2" lower than I did...lol My wife doesn't like how "hard" it is to get in and out of the car now.

I have had 4th gen leather and cloth and the leather does sem to sit lower. The cloth feels like it is the same as factory seats.

The 4th gen seat brackets are build to the same floor dimensions as the 3rd gen seat brackets. This was the first "True BOLT IN" thing I've done for this car. They fit perfectly. Now I don't know if the sliders (Seat bracket) from a 3rd gen seat will mount properly to a 4th gen seat. Anyone else here know?

To me it seems that the bucket in the 4th gen leather is alot more pronounced than my 3rd gen cloth seats. The thing I like the best is how it "hugs"me when I'm sitting. I feel alot more secure in the seat.

New seats looks good, three questions

What color are the originals?
What kind of sharp are the originals in?
Do you want to sell them?

My buddy has a set of black leather 4th gen seats, front & rear, just like yours for sale. I almost got them for my GTA, but I'm dirt poor, yet he isn't much at all for them, for a perfect set of leather seats.

I'm really impressed by how the new seats sit when I'm driving, especially compared to the originals. Time will tell (with the T-Tops especially), how I hold up on them in the New Mexico sun. Good thing I don't wear shorts much. Aside from that, I really like how I sit in the new seats and how they look in the car. It did take some getting used to because they do sit lower, but that's mainly a getting in and out of the car issue.

Just put the same 2002 T/A seats in our 91 RS vert. They are awesome! The bolsters really hold you in. Our originals were manual and having the power seat is great and makes it feel like a different car by being able to raise the seat.

If you dont mind me askin when usin those 4th gen style seats, I am assuming that you used the 4th gen sliders as well, if so, did they move the seat back any further? The reason I ask is b/c I am 6'3" and @ 250+ I am not small, so extra leg room would be nice. Any info would be nice, tia.

Glad to hear that. I figured that they would, but I just wanted to make sure first.

Re: Pictures of my new front Seats! (Back seats coming on a weekend soon!)

The 2002 T/A seats I put in my 91 vert had the sliders on them and I just bolted them in. I agree...I don't notice a difference from the originals except with power seats you might be able to go a little lower. Here are a few pics. I have the driver seat all the way back and it is pretty close to the back seat. I am finishing up the door sills, new arm rest, and putting in new black seat belts in this weekend so ignore the incompleteness...i have been changing the interior over from gray to black =)
