Steering column removal

Axle/Gears: stock, soon to change.
Steering column removal

hi, im installing a new steering column due to vandals..

its a 91 Camaro.. is there any tricks or anything i'll have to do to get the old column out??

no tricks, it's pretty straight forward. once unbolted it should just slide rightout. If you have an airbag make sure to pull the fuse and carfully remove it from the steering wheel first. you don't want that going off in your face.

Dont forget about your VATS system though.The new column probably wont be the same resistance so you will have to address that.As far as removal,1 15mm nut in the engine bay on the steering shaft,3 10mm holding it to the firewall and 2 13mm holding it the the dash.Then there area bunch of plugs and the shifter cable.Not a bad job at all.
