Steering column swap problems
Hello Everybody,
I am working on swaping a 92 Firebird steering column into a 91 Camaro.
I assumed that the columns would be exactly the same but when I got the old broken one out there was a difference.
I have attached some pictures that show what I am talking about.
Please let me know if anyone has experienced this.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Steering column swap problems
Well, I was able to figure it out.
The 91 had a cable that ran from the column to the shifter that activated the funtion that does not allow you to remove the key if the car is not in park.
Evedently, in 92 GM decided to do this electronically.
