problems w/ windows
I bought an '88 trans am a few weeks ago and one of the first things I noticed when messing with it is that the windows go up and down VERY slowly. I was wondering if anyone knows why that might be and how to fix it.

Re: problems w/ windows
Those windows have been going up and down for 20 years. The motors are probably tired and the guides are dry, no lubricant. It might be worth your time to remove the door panels and clean the interior of the door and window tracks and lube them. There are some good silicone sprays you can use on the side and bottom seals. Do some clean up and lube the tracks and moving parts and they should work better. My `88 Iroc windows were the same as yours and now, after some maintenence, they work much better.
