ok im doin a little research for my dad hes got an 86 camaro and hes gutting it cause its his drag car. well his dash and around the gauges, the stereo and shifter has aluminum plating it looks stock but we have been looking at every camaro we see and searching online but cant seem to find anything about that dash so i was just needin to know is it stock and just pretty rare or did someone else put it in there?

 

ohh heres a pic of the car and the motor we just put in hes runnin 13.4 in the quarter. ill get inside pics and others when i get tha chance. but to anyone that has any ideas about the dash they would be much appreciated

yeah I'd hope you'd be running somewhere in the mid 8's to justify something so fugly...

 

well he was gonna put a tunnel ram on it but he changed his mind so hes just got the scoop from the tunnel ram in there it sets up in the scoop well 13's aint bad for only having like 500 bucks in the whole car and hes only put one pass on that motor and still has to make adjustments to some ****

 

so i finally got pictures the aluminum shyt was originally silver but he anodized it so it matches the car but hes fixing to strip the red off and sell the dash and center console cause hes gutting the car and goin all drag
and if this is homemade whoever did it is damn good at what they do

 

I don't know much about the early interiors but that looks like someone just painted the bezel.

 

its an 86 its aluminum sheet metal cause he pulled it off to paint it its anodized paint all the lil bolts hold it on there
