I have been wondering this question for many years now...
Did the IROC-Z from 85-90 have leather seat covers as an option??

I have a 87 Camaro sport coupe with standard red color vinyl seats...
They are getting kind a damaged now so it is soon time to change...

But my question is did some IROC-Z have leather seat kits as a option?..Because I had a uncle of me that had an 88 IROC-Z that was 100% original..Very nice taken care of..And the seats there had some leather covers that has also IROC-Z written on it...It is almost 5 years since I saw the car so I am not sure exacly how they looked like...

Someone know where they sell upholstery kits??...
Have tried hawks and they only have: Velour and Vinyl covers...

 

I have a set of the grey leather seats that were in the 92 Z28's.


I have decided to recover mine in black. I searched and searched and finally gave up. There is an award winning custom interior guy near me that does excellent work. For the unbelievable price of $750.00 he is making me exact replicas in black with gold piping (my car is the same) along with camaro embroidered in the same place it was on the grey seats and the 25th anniversary logo on the headrest. And that price is including door panels n leather and carpet too. Most places want $2000 for the work he is doing for me.

I will post pics when done. Every where I looked I only saw cloth or vinyl.The one leather set I found was not exact so this was the next best option. You may end u doing the same. Some people just swap in 4th gen leather but I didn't want the hybred look.

Then I was just wondering if anyone has an 87 or 88 or 89 IROC that has original leather seats??...And of course if anyone knows other sites they are offering leather seats and leather door panels...

I know Fbodymotorsports have...But haven't heard so much good comments about them...lol..

Those 92 seats look gorgeous. I myself think I'm going to get 4th gen camaro leather seats! Take a look at those.

 

Thanks MarkAJ...I got a sneak peak at my new black/gold thirdgen seats today and talk about a sexy seat. I will post some preview picks below. My only problem with the 4th gen seats was I wanted to keep the thirdgen look. Other than that those are the way to go.

 

I have an 88 iroc convertible with the factory leather seats. they were leather with some cloth, i believe it was called the "custom interior" i really ned re-covers and want to stay stock but havent been able to find them, so please, if you find someone, please let me know. attached is a pic of the 88 iroc leather seats in the orig brochure

 

Yes there they are...thanks a lot for the attached image rlapenna..It is about 5years since I last saw them on my uncle's car but i looks just like the same, onyl they were in red..Think they call it Torch red.

Custom interiour you say??...So I guess it is hard to find such seat covers like that then..

86NiteRider those seats look awesome. Im looking to recover the cloth seats in my camaro in leather and those new seat covers are the best looking third gen ones Ive seen. I was just wondering, is the side bolster area (the sides on the backrest area) really small or does it just look that way in the picture?

It is the picture. Those are really the back seats and I just put the headrest on top and kinda folded the side in for the picture. My guy was working on the fronts when i was there so no pics yet of them. Good catch...I thought I had got away with it.
