I'm looking on Autometer.com and found these piilar pods for A-pillar. 1 says 1982-92 Camaro, Firebird (Hardtop) and the other 1982-92 Camaro (T-Top) No firebird t-top
I have a T/A t-top. If I got the camaro t-top 1 would it make any difference in fitting
2-1/16 in. is the size I'm looking for.

Re: Pillar pod gauge A-Pillar question
The Camaro T-top gauge pod will fit your TA with no problem. No trimming is required.

Re: Pillar pod gauge A-Pillar question
I bought one of them (autometer t top pillars) for my car, I didn't like how the lower gauge sits right on top of the dash, so I just bought the one that mounts to the existing pillar. That way I could put the gauges exactly where I wanted them, not what some other guy thought where they should be. I have seen other manufacturers that have complete pillar setups that don't have the lower guage right on the dash, but it was after the fact. A search on hear should bring them up fairly quick if you don't want your gauges to sit right on top of the dash.

I've heard that the pillars for verts and t-tops are the same.

I had also bought the AutoMeter 3-gauge pillar and had the same problem with the pod sitting right on the dash, it didn't even seem to want to fit in right... I brought it back.

I am still interrested in the pillar, but I have not seen any other manufacturers making them. Can you list some of the manufacturers you saw that fit better, or possibly throw on a link or two??

Thanks!!

No, it's just you said you saw other manufacturers, I figured you'd enlighten me as to what you saw...

Sorry, don't worry about it.

Re: Pillar pod gauge A-Pillar question
Here's another one, I ended going with the Autometer, cause it was what my parts supplier carried, so I got my discount

If you run NOS then get the gauge. Also you might want the oil pressure and water temp.

I lke the phantom or ultra lite. You can change the bulbs on the gauges to match your car.
