Hawks replacement trunk motor

Hey guys, a while back I broke my trunk motor, so I put down 90$ on a new Hawk's replacement one. It's got the motor, and the plastic bracket attached. I have no idea how to put this on, do I have to tap the plastic, in order to get screws in? And does everything mount up like it should? Thanks, KP.

Post pics so we can see. I am not sure about "tap the plastic". What plastic? All of the motors I have replaced have been used so they were a direct bolt in. It should be pretty easy - 15 tops.

No need to tap the holes. The screws are self-tapping. You can follow the Tech Article on TGO I wrote to see how to re-assemble the pull-down unit using the new motor you purchased. Was the new motor reinforced with aluminum & epoxy? If so I know where they bought it.

I got it all together, put it in and of all things, it doesn't work... I think a fuse is blown, but not sure. Is there a fuse under the dash? I tested the one on the wire to the motor, and i was getting 0 ohms, so I think it's pooched.

Unplug the red/white stripe wire from the blue wire and test it for +12v. The fuse on Firebirds is not in the fuse panel, but is in a separate fuse holder that should be attached to the outside of the fuse box.
