Is this guys interior stock?

Im loving his trunk! I want to know where I can get that! I have nasty old funky plastic pieces, and he has nice carpeted stuff, was that an option on these cars?

I believe full carpeting in the rear was an option on Iroc's. Not sure of the years. It wasnt an option on 1991 and '92's though.

The carpet was once available from Paddock parts, may still be.

I have a bunch of rear plastics from an 86 that're fully carpeted; they're grey. I was planning on selling them off but wasn't sure if he had glued the carpet on or what.

Re: Is this guys interior stock?
The carpeted area (sometimes?) had a locking/carpeted hard shelf that covered the rear well. This shelf required a different rear trim piece, the piece that covers the rear of the well, to accomodate the shelf.

Re: Is this guys interior stock?
Yes, that interior is stock.
It was pretty common in '82-'84 cars. Even the one in that pic looks like the charcoal interior, which was only available during those years. It was available for both Camaros and Firebirds back then, but from '85+ it became less common in Firebirds.
It was part of one of the interior options, though I don't remember which option code. I was able to order it in each of my Z28s('82 and '83), but it wasn't available to my '87 Firebird when I ordered it.
I like 'em. I've installed a set of '84 charcoal carpeted panels just like those in rear area of my '89 Firebird, though I had to cut them to fit(the car's a 'vert).
Like JamesC mentioned, you can buy a new kit with the carpet pieces all nicely cut and formed to fit. I'm thinking I've seen it available from Hawk's.

Re: Is this guys interior stock?
my 87 iroc cam with carpeted pieces, and I think the one on the left side had a piece that locked with the key. is that not common to all camaros? I never even though about it. made it a bitch to take of the spoiler though...
I also had the bose speakers on some flip up panel, looks dumb. plan on ditching it.

Re: Is this guys interior stock?
That would be stock. My 89 RS has black carpeted plastics in the rear as well as the hinged lockable well cover (although the catch is missing).

Re: Is this guys interior stock?
The carpeted interior panels were standard equipment on all 82-87 Berlinetta and LT cars. It was optional on all other "regular" Camaros. I believe it was option code B48 - Deluxe Luggage Compartment Trim.
Funny thing is that I have looked at several Berlinetta RPO tags and did not find this code an any of the tags,... but, I did find that "B48" code on the RPO tag from an 84 Trans Am I recently bought with the deluxe interior.

Re: Is this guys interior stock?
yea its stock- my 83 Firebird came with the full carpeted rear- its that awesome Briar Brown (dark brown) color only available from 82-84. that has to be the single hardest color to find in replacement parts for (carpet, plastics, etc). i know i rarely find things in that color.
