is there such a thing as a 145mph factory set thats a cable driven speedo?? (firebird) if so im looking for it cause i cant get my electric one to work do to i sold the tpi setup (wiring and computer)

as far as i know the answer is no too but if you can find a cable driven speedo you can send it to fbodymotorsports and they can recalibrate it and reface it to 160mph. i hope that this helps.

He was asking it there was one for the Firebird's not Camaros. He would have to have custom made like white85transam said.

i was told by a co-worker i could get a computer and hook it back up if i know were all the wires i need go (grounds, power sending units needed) i sure i might be able to ground all the grounds powers and the vss sender and it might work your thoughts?

You don't need the computer for the speedo to work.

you have the speed sensor in the trans, it has 2 wires, yellow and purple.

they go under the passenger dash into a yellow box that is/was attached to the side of the computer, from there a green/black striped wire goes to the speedo and there is a pink/black accessory power wire going into the box and a ground. With all that hooked up you are golden.

okay i understand everything you just wrote. i did all that and it didnt work. i ordered from south carolina the last vss for a t5 tranny from, a dealership. coast my $60.00 cause i think the one i got is bad. i will try again when it gets here. thank you for explaining it to me buddy.

didnt the some of the mecham TA's come with 140 and 160 speedos Im pretty sure they were cable
