HORN PAD REMOVAL ???

HORN PAD REMOVAL ???
HELP !!! this morning ( 04:30 ) i was awakened by my horn blasting on my 89rs . ( it has always been sensitive to light touch ) pulled up on button/pad and horn stopped . wedged folded paper under top of pad to hold it up . DAMN , hope neighbors weren't awakened . put on coffee pot , got out camaro book . looks simple , 2 screws underneath and off it comes . waited till it warmed up a little , went out with screwdriver , no screws ??? can anyone tell me how the DAMN thing comes off ? its the rectangular pad with no airbag . somebody please help , yes i did a search with no luck . i don't want to break anything so i'm asking for help . THANKS .

what kind of steering wheel do you have? mine just pulls off its held on by clips

stock wheel , 2 spoke , rectangular pad , no airbag .

Yes, either pull down then out or get a butter knife and bend the tab lightly (it's plastic), if you wait a bit I can snap a picture of the back of the pad.
