Turn Signal Fault

Hi, anyone got some experience with turn signal problems on 85 to 90 Firebirds. My left turn signal works but the right one lights up front and back and doesn't blink. Also, the reverse lights come on when the lever is flicked to the right side. Could this be the switch inside the steering column. I've already changed the bulb on the far right side of the rear but no change in operation.
