Things Needed For My Interior

First thing I want to get just so I don't get pulled over every 5 miles are seat belt fasteners. Not sure extactly what they're called, but they won't keep either one of my front seat belts in place. Anyone know how they can be repaired easily or at least where I can buy some new ones?

Also, like every single third gen I've ever seen, my dash plate is cracked and I'd like to get another one instead of just putting a cover over it. I hate covering things up because I feel as though I'm half assing it. lol.

Te upholstery on my roof and along the sides is showing wear pretty badly and I'd like to replace that as well eventually. Do you think I need to just find someone who works in upholstery and re-do everything in my interior?

And lastly, my father has told me his friend has a set of black Corvette bucket seats that he could get for me and supposedly they bolt right into 3rd gens. I've seen a Formy with Corvette seats and it looked amazing, so what do you guys think of that idea?

Seat belt fastners? Do you mean the guides that attach to the headrest or the part that the lap belt latches to? Any pics?

Man I have some of the same things, I think the best thing to do is ebay or craigslist. I think craigslist works better cause you get to check out the parts first, but I have seen a whole set of mint seats on craigslist for $20. And finding the dash would'nt be that hard, I see them go for 10-20 bucks. With the headliner and all that, I would say get new stuff and it will work best.

The seat belts need the part that they buckle into. You can put the belt in, but it won't lock it in place, it just slides right out... so I've been kinda cheating by putting it over my shoulder and just sitting on the metal part that's supposed to plug in. lol. I have the guides, they were sitting in the back seat and I put them back on securely and they work great, it's just that where you plug them in at isn't locking.

I'll get some pics up tommorow of my interior. Would do it now, but it's pretty late and you wouldn't be able to see a thing.

Thanks for the help so far! Definately going to check out craigslist. Looked at a lot of Camaros on there before I found this TA.

Edit: Went out and tried to take some pics anyways, but with my bright flash, this is the only one that you can see anything in, but at least you can see why I want to de or replace my carpet.

Re: Things Needed For My Interior

Here's a few more pics, and 86NiteRider, that would be sweet. Thanks for the thought, if I can't find any, let me know how much the junkyard wants for them and I'll send you a check or something.

Congradulations, but my Trans Am's isn't. lol. It's not nearly as bad as some people's, but it's bad enough that I don't like it. lol.

Re: Things Needed For My Interior

someone one here said that the seatbelt connectors from newer cavaliers will work on our seat belts... don't know if it's true or not.
