Need some help for a trim piece on the interior passenger side of the car where the door handle and arm attach to the door panel. Not sure where I can find this trim piece or a web site to buy it from? Also what type of adhesive can I use to get the floor shift console piece to stay together. Super Glue will not do it. Does the 87 Pontiac Trans AM GTA's have a red marker to show which gear you are in? Mine does not have it as seen in the picture.

 

You may have a hard time finding that trim piece for the handle. My GTA is like yours, flame red w/ carmine red cloth. It's hard to find the red parts for the interior. I'm not sure about the shift indicator, I will go out and check mine tomorrow. My console is also split, but I haven't gotten around to working on that yet.

 

Consoles is an easy fix, get the plastic epoxy from home depot/lowes, mix it and stick it in the gap, get a flat board and a clamp and set it, let it sit overnight and fixed. The door trim you are on your own.

 

Jb weld or even jb kwik work great. The make super glue look like chewing gum.

 

Do you put it on the foam part, or just along the top (along top trim plate)?

(I'm guessing that's foam in there, sure looks like it)

Those arm rest trim rings should be the same as every other 3rd gen (I think), so I'd suspect you could get those fairly easy, as a lot of people comnvert from red to black, meaning they have leftover parts.
