Re: lost bolts in tall weeds

Modern Day Muscle sells them for not too much money. The ones on my 85 Z28 looked different from regular bolts, so you'll probably have to get the actual seat belt bolts. Should also be pretty easy to find in junkyards.

Yeah...When the mower blades toss them out & take out a house window...a car window...or, God forbid, a person!

Gget a good magnet & do a sweep in the area you suspect before you just give up finding them.

Weeds aren't gonna stop what abouts to a bullet. Granted, not near the same speed, but I wouldn't take the chance. Think about your mom/dad/girlfriend/wife/son/daughter/neighbor/pet dog...

You REALLY wanna take even a chance? After all, Russian Roulette you have a 5 outta 6 chance of survival. Odds are in your favor, right?

Your choice, but I wouldn't wanna be nearby & find out....the hard way.

Yeah, thats pretty risky, about as risky as mounting foglights in your rear bumper to blind the person behind you at night HUH? someone could be run off the road and killed.
I was just automatically thinking that this guy lived in wide open spaces for some reason,if you got neighbors close by,get a magnet and find them like Stephen already stated!

I know what your referring to, but it was for backing up. You know..Like in parking lots...the driveway, etc. Not for highway use. It could easily be hooked up to a Reverse only switch too...Tied in with the stock Reverse lights.

Re: lost bolts in tall weeds

yeah,I understand what you're saying but some folks behind you at night don't realize they're lights are too bright or that they are pissing someone off in front of them,so I now reccomend not cutting your grass if you lost a few bolts in your front yard, and also not mounting foglights in your rear bumper to get back at people with bright headlights riding behind you that tick you off!! That could also be your mother/father/brother/sister/grandma/grandpa,
could be your own wife/child behind you!!
Anyway, can we get back to topic now?

Sure...But I'm just not sure how you took the Reserve light mod at 2mph in a parking lot, to 65mph on the highway in the first place....

Re: lost bolts in tall weeds

The magnets really do work. I have one about the size of a brick and cant tell you the amount of old nails, screws, etc that I have picked up with it. They come in handy.
