Shifter Plate Replacement

Anyone with info how to get the shifter **** to replace the shifter plate?

automatic t-handles...there is a "staple" towards the radio...get a flat head and pry it out. If it's a push button on top of the automatic handle, pull the push button **** off and there is a c-clip holding the handle on...get the clip off and pull it off. If it's manual...it should be just unscrew off, although mine doesn't seem to want to cooperate.
