How do i reduce top dash rattle?
Everytime i get on the highway around 60 or more the top pad starts shakeing up and down, theres a part on hawks for the frame of your car that says it reduces it but honestly a solid hunk of metal wont help it so any ideas?

Just the dash pad? Or is it being transmitted through the car from something else? Tire balance? Driveshaft balance? Bad engine/tranny mounts?
Is your pad dash screwed down? Mine has ZERO screws holding it own & vibrates none at all.

Its an old car, deal with it.
If it really bothers you, just check to make sure everything is tight. Sub-Frame connectors will help, because they will make your car alot stiffer and it wont flex as much.

Well i cant fix anything now its getting painted and ill get it next week. But i just got the front end suspension and alignmeant all redone so idk if that will help, and the dash pad is screwed down pretty darn good

I've found that overtightening the screws will cause rattles and squeaks as there is no movement allowed. I learned to tighten all screws only so far.
If the car is still shaking after the front end rebuild and the tires are balanced correctly, check the driveshaft for balance.

You could try some padding under it.
But like Stephen said, I don't have a single screw in mine and it dosen't rattle, or move for that matter.
Well except that ontime at the track I grabed 3rd and the whole car jerked.
Slid back about 3 inches that time.
