Dashboard Sizes?
I've got a 1986 Firebird S/E with a crack in the very top of the dashboard (not the instrument panel). I want to replace the whole part that's broken rather than covering it with one of those ubiquitous "dash pads".
I found a guy who is selling one for fifty bucks, but it's from a 1985 Firebird.
They look like the same exact part, but I wanted to confirm that they are the same size between the model years.
Also, is this part very rare? Am I getting a deal or is this a rip-off? Am I better off waiting?

Re: Dashboard Sizes?
It should fit just fine. They should be the same from 82-92. I know Camaros are the same, I would assume Firebirds are no different. If its in good shape, ie no cracks/tears/fading, then you found a great deal. Camaro dash pads in great shape go for about 150-200 on ebay, and I have seen Firebird ones go for as much as 300.
