anyone ever see or hear of one
i really don't use my backseats,
haven't taken them out but i assume
like the mustang i tore apart,
that under the seats arnt carpeted.

so is there such a kit
or are they carpeted?

 

There is carpet underneath the seats.

 

There's no carpet under mine. Easy enough for you to check yourself, take out 1 bolt for the bottom cushion.

I just pulled my carpet out to install new.There was and will be again carpet under the rear seats.

 

My 85 also had overlapping carpet. The rear seats weigh nothing, it will look better with them in.

 

my 91 has carpet i took my seats out...

 

Yeah I just replaced my seats with 4th gen leather.The rear seats weight nothing.The lower part is only foam cushion of some kind and upholstery.You may loose 10 or 20 pounds buit also the option to carry more than 1 passenger.I realize there isnt alot of room back there but you can fit 4 adults in my car,although I rarely do.But ny stepson and his friends love to ride no matter where they sit.
