Needle on Speedometer

Needle on Speedometer

Can the needle on the speedometer be replaced or do I need to get a new cluster? the needle has been missing since i bought it

The needle can be replaced, but because the plastic can be 20+ years old, it will be brittle and easily breakable. Calibration is another problem, but not one that's insurmountable.

Only the speedo head would require replacement and not the entire cluster. If your car isn't equipped with a 145, this would be a great time to swap what you have.

yea it has the 145,

but that brings me to the next question where can I buy a needle?

Try the on-site classifieds. I'm sure someone has a junked cluster--or try the bone yards.

BTW, I've heard that you can pry the needle off with a fork.

I need the same thing for my Iroc. I can't remember where I saw it. I think it was Modern Day Muscle, or Hawks that had one. I have been looking for gauge replacements. If the needle is that easily replaced then
