4th gen center consoled on my camaro

i would like to put in the 4th gen center consoled on my camaro. i searched and coundnt find the right answer. will this just bolt in and wat about the radio and heater controls?

Are you sure you searched? This has come up a lot.

I'd help you, but I installed the 4th gen console in a Firebird, so I don't have the info you need.

i put a 2002 firebird console in mine and there is a huge gap between the dash and the console. im going to cut the radio pod (or fab a new one) to fill the gap

Yes it looks and feels way better. And you dont have to get your arm in an akward position to push the window switched. I hated that boxy console

a lot of people put it in the ashtray. idk where im gonna put mine yet, im still gettin the car running so its the least fo my worries for now. but i THINK im going to put it in the ashtray

See it? In front of and to the left of the shifter, below the radio, it's a 4th gen Bird mirror switch.

I would personally not put the mirror switch there tho. where have other people put their mirror switch?

Well, you only have a couple of options in the 6 speed console to put switches. You have the ashtray, and you have that pocket that I used at the front of the console. What other areas were you thinking of?

eh i guess you are right, i was thinking maybe someone had rewired the mirror switch and mounted it on the dash or some other place instead of the console,
