Okay so I decided that before i started to get my car ready for paint that the best thing would be for me to get all the little things done before i start prepping my car. This way i wont feel bad scratching paint that i most definitely wont care about.

Okay first off, when i took my door apart i saw that the person who painted the car taped painters plastic on the door frame and decided to spray over that. But my first thing is my lock acutator is broken. Its connected by two bolts, but i cant losen then. Just like the bolts connecting my rear seats of my car had lock tight on them, i fear the same for these. If not, how do i take those two bolts out? Do you think that there is a nut behind them or something?

Also this long plastic piece that runs along the top of the door, do you know how to take this off as well. Im planning on replacing all the weather stripping to so im just wondering.

Ohh and ps, how do i align my door. look at the last picture that im going to post and you can see that the bottom corner is pushed in. How do i pull that out. Thanks.

 

My car is the same way, but on mine it's not the door it's actually where a buddy of mine didn't have the jack on the lift point right and it folded over and pushed that section of the body out a little
